Rates

Rates listed below are based on standard rates currently charged for therapeutic services in this area.

They reflect what will be charged for one individual 55-minute session.

If you are seeking couples counseling please add an additional $50 to the rates below.

This fee structure not only facilitates individual healing but also nurtures a culture of mutual support and inclusivity, exemplifying a collaborative effort towards collective wellbeing. Please see further explanation below.

Pay rate is determined by total annual household income.  Refer to fee structure to establish hourly fee.

Explanation of Fee Structure

My fee structure is rooted in a holistic approach that takes into account various factors affecting both individuals and communities. I've carefully crafted this model to reflect the evolving landscape of economic and social change across our country, as well as the ongoing discussions within mental health and healing communities about accessibility, affordability, and ethical business practices.

1. Balanced Allocation:

  • Practitioner: 33% of the fees are allocated to the practitioner, recognizing the expertise, time, and energy invested in providing high-quality psychotherapy services.

  • Business Operations: Another 33% goes towards sustaining the business operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the practice and maintaining necessary resources.

  • Pro-Bono/Low Fee Work: The remaining 34% is dedicated to covering pro-bono and low fee work, which constitutes approximately 35% of my total workload. This allocation reflects my commitment to making therapy accessible to those who may not be able to afford standard rates.

2. Transparency and Accessibility:

  • I believe in transparency and want my clients to understand how their fees are utilized. By breaking down the fee structure, clients can see exactly where their payments are going.

  • Clients are encouraged to inquire about limited fee or pro-bono options, although availability may be limited due to demand.

3. Pricing Considerations:

  • Hourly rates are structured to reflect different income brackets, ensuring fairness and accessibility across various socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • Clients are encouraged to consider their Gross Household Income when selecting an hourly rate, allowing them to choose a rate that aligns with their financial situation while supporting the sustainability of the practice.

4. Community Support and Reciprocity:

  • This fee structure is deeply rooted in a community-oriented approach. When individuals pay a rate that aligns with their financial capacity, it enables me to provide services to others who may not be able to afford standard rates.

  • By participating in this model, clients engage in a form of reciprocity that fosters a sense of interconnectedness and mutual support within the community.

  • This ethos of collective care ensures that everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances, can access the healing benefits of psychotherapy. It underscores the principle that when one person contributes what they can afford, it creates opportunities for others to receive the support they need.

  • Through this community-oriented approach, we not only prioritize individual healing journeys but also cultivate a culture of solidarity and inclusivity.

Thank you for being part of this collaborative effort towards collective wellbeing.

*Low Rate & Pro-Bono

If your annual income falls at or below $59,000 please ask for availability for discounted or pro-bono offerings. Note these rates are limited in availability and there is often a wait list. This rate is provided for a three month period in order to allow accessibility to all who need it. Ongoing rates may be negotiated at three months, considering both individual and community needs. I value access to services and would like to discuss all potential options with you to help you on your healing path.
